I graduated with First-Class Honours in Mathematics from Imperial College London and achieved 3 A* A-levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Economics. Through my academic journey, I developed a strong foundation in mathematics, honed my problem-solving skills, and learnt to think both critically and analytically. After years of focusing intensely on mathematics, I decided to take a break to gain some practical experience while making a meaningful impact by joining the Financial Ombudsman Service, where I have had the opportunity to help SMEs resolve complex financial disputes. This role has enhanced my attention to detail, improved my ability to communicate complex information clearly, and strengthened my decision-making skills, all while giving me an insight into the real-world challenges faced in the general banking and insurance sectors.Now, I am eager to return to my mathematical roots and transition into the actuarial field. I am confident that my mathematical background and practical experience have equipped me with an excellent skillset, which coupled with my eagerness to learn, will allow me to excel as I work towards becoming a fully qualified actuary. While I am open to working across all actuarial teams, I have a particular interest in general and specialty insurance.
