I am a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) specialising in cardiology, with experience in advanced practice across specialised areas, including the chest pain clinic, coronary care unit, cardiac ward, and the emergency assessment unit. I am an independent nurse prescriber, an ALS provider, and autonomous in implanting and explanting loop recorders. Additionally, I am skilled in nurse-led sedation and direct current cardioversion.My academic journey began with a nursing degree in the Philippines, followed by a BSc in Acute Clinical Practice in Cardiac Care at the University of Brighton. This included assessed modules in ECG interpretation, cardiac arrhythmias, acute coronary syndrome, and heart failure, along with an elective in advanced assessment of cardiac and respiratory conditions. I have also recently completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice at King’s College London, further underpinned by a Healthcare Leadership Award from the NHS Leadership Academy.In addition to my clinical expertise, my role encompasses research, policymaking, quality improvement, and education. These responsibilities reflect my dedication to advancing patient care and driving innovation within cardiology practice.
