My major contribution to Finance Applications, Enterprise Systems was Java experience, software architecture advice, and strong documentation. My highest achievement was the creation of a class-generator program that automatically writes POJO Java library classes and corresponding tests using Oracle database table metadata. In addition to duties I performed as an Application Analyst, I performed the following duties:▧ Advise on software architecture and programming standards to ensure that services are RESTful and scalable. Suggest implementations for complex tasks.▧ Participate in Java code reviews to ensure that software meets technical requirements.▧ Assist team members in learning and understanding object-oriented design principles and Java language syntax. Act as a first adapter for new software to assist other team members.▧ Create and maintain documentation for internal use.▧ Coordinate between functional users and external vendor technical support.▧ Manage and direct analysts that support the Travel and Expense management system to confirm that work achieves goals that support organizational objectives.

Additionally I taught myself Microsoft Access and SQL basics in order to polish the structure for tracking our largest longitudinal project: The Roanoke Brain Study. ☆

Drafted assembly drawings and product summaries.▧ Aided in the set up, execution, and write up of bacterial experiments.

When I was an incoming freshman in 2007 I participated in a summer bridge program called the Student Transition Engineering Program (STEP) at Virginia Tech. I was so greatly impacted by the program that I worked for STEP every summer until I graduated. I am proud to have served a leading role in shaping the future of many young engineers.☆ The second undergraduate in the history of the program to be selected as the Assistant Director due to my competency, passion, and familiarity with the program.▧ Accepted applicants to the community of 80-90 incoming freshman engineers. ▧ Read each application and designated roommate assignments based on the student essays.▧ Coordinated classes and created schedules prior to the start of the program.▧ Managed a team of 5-6 Resident Advisors, organized social activities, and enforced policy.▧ Advised students regarding engineering as a major.
