I was listening to yet another radio ad from Shane Co., a national jeweler famous for their slogan, "Now you have a friend in the diamond business." Their ads focused almost exclusively on engagement rings, but when I visited their website, I realized they offered so much more—yet no one seemed to know it.I couldn’t help but think, “Why aren’t they talking about all the other beautiful jewelry they have?” So, I sent them an email suggesting they rotate in ads about their broader selection and tweak their slogan to "Now you have a friend in the jewelry business." They never responded, but to my amazement, a month later, I heard a new radio spot that echoed my suggestion! They kept that campaign running for years, and from that moment on, I knew marketing was the career for me.Fast forward to today, and I’m a Marketing Manager with over 10 years of experience, still driven by that same passion for turning great ideas into impactful campaigns.
