As member of the curatorial team I interacted with museum artifacts and help preserve and tell their stories in public programs, exhibits, and research. • Identify, research, process and curate current and incoming collections. I reached out to prospective donors and partners about artifact acquisitions. I also worked to initiate museum wide collecting initiatives and artifact searches.• Design, prep, install, care for, and uninstall exhibits and artifacts. I worked on in-house, local exhibits (including Diving In: 100 Years of Swim Fashion), collaborative touring exhibits (including Midwest Art Deco: Design for the People), and international blockbuster exhibits (including Mummies of the World)• Manage digital records (artifacts, exhibits, incoming/outgoing loans, conservation and condition reports) using Mimsy Museum Management database software, online exhibit management using Google Arts and Culture.• Present museum content to local, regional, and worldwide audiences through various media outlets, including: in person and virtual public programs, television appearances, NPR spots, social media campaigns.• Recruit and supervise volunteers, interns and front line staff.

I managed the daily operations of a National Historic Landmark, planned upcoming outreach, led interpretation, and preserved the site for the future.• Manage daily historic site activities, including tours and exhibits. Developed new programs and events (Historic Cemetery Clean Up, The Fort at Night, Learning in Cemeteries for school tours, McKinney and Hall Portrait Galley exhibit)• Recruit, supervise, and review staff, interns, and volunteers (3 full time, 2 seasonal)• Care for museum exhibits and collections to NPS standards (environmental control, security, storage, maintenance, etc)
