As the Associate Vice President for IT / Academic Technology I lead areas which include the Academic Technology Center, Desk-Side Faculty & Staff Support, Student Support, Titan TV Communications, ITI (Interactive / remote Instruction), AV support, IT training, College Support, and Card Services.

I was recruited into this role and was responsible for front facing IT services across the university. As a member of the senior staff in the Office of Information Technology, I was responsible for all aspects of client support services and communication. I also served as the primary IT liaison to provosts office, academic deans, and senior administration. I led IT areas which included academic technology, training, academic technology support, multimedia production, desktop computing, classrooms, and web development. I also recruited and developed the academic & emerging technology team which provides teaching and learning technology support, aligning best-fit technology tools and pedagogical practices in support of the university mission. The academic and emerging technology team provides expert consultation, leadership, and support for interdisciplinary innovative, emerging technology tools and pedagogical practices.Major projects included a complete client support benchmarking, space remodeling, IT website re-design, IT project scoping and prioritization, knowledge base design and implementation, service catalog creation, social media/chat support, faculty-centric training programs, and faculty publishing.

As the primary IT staff member, I was responsible for all faculty and staff IT support within the School of Education including servers, desktops, classrooms, and printers. Chaired technology committee. Supported distance education Polycom taught classes. Provided instructional technology support and training on best practice information technology integration utilizing frameworks such as TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge).

I provided technology training and support on a referral basis. Though most of my work was in the 1998-2005 period, I continued to support some clients through 2011. I provided desktop service and support (Mac and PC), designed and built wired and wireless networks, including one of the first wireless 1:1 laptop programs in NJ. I also specialized in digital workflow, color calibration, and technology solutions for photographers that were converting from film.Photography: Worked as a wedding, portrait and contract photographer. Provided assistance and training with specialized music applications as well as faculty and staff support including support of recording studio, and digitization/ import of analog media as well as day-to-day IT support.

Supported multiple locations linked via Network and Citrix. Duties included troubleshooting and repair of client computers, hardware repair, TC/IP and network wiring. Provided support of specialized legal applications, mobile devices, GroupWise, and IP Telephony.
