Designed, built and deployed the DUN Magazine websites from the ground up. Created a CMS from scratch to display, tag, email, and track articles and editions from the magazine and digital-only content. The CMS allowed editors to track page views, sessions and referral sites per post, as well as email posts to the various email lists using our custom built and dynamic email templating system. The email system was custom built for DUN using AWS SES, and provided editors with read, sent, delivery, and click tracking for each email using AWS SQS, SNS and LAMABDA.The CMS dynamically creates the homepage based on daily users view statistics.I implemented a recurring subscription system to create subscriptions for the users and automatically bill users at the time of renewal. Designed and implemented a custom shopping cart using the spree framework to offer visitors the ability to purchase single products from the magazine’s store.Implemented Google Search, Google Display, and Facebook/Instagram advertising campaigns. Led the DUN magazine layout for print and digital, as well as managed the day-to-day administration of the DUN Magazine website including the sales, ads, email, analytics, and daily performance of the website.Grew readership from start to 113,000 unique views per month.
