I have extensive knowledge and experience representing management, exclusively, in all areas of labor and employment law. From the hiring process, to employment policies, to discipline and discharge decisions, and through the litigation that can sometimes follow, I have worked closely with employers through all phases of the employment relationship. I have assisted clients in resolving wage and hour class and collective actions, as well as numerous discrimination complaints before the Wisconsin ERD and the United States EEOC. I also advise clients in the areas of wage and hour, discipline and discharge, the Wisconsin and federal Family and Medical Leave Acts, reductions in force, waiver and release agreements, and affirmative action, among other employment areas. I have authored a number of articles on current topics in employment law and am also a frequent presenter on strategies and tactics for ensuring compliance with employment laws and avoiding litigation. Some of my recent programs have addressed social media in the workplace, the National Labor Relations Act, Wisconsin’s concealed carry law, and guidelines for ensuring effective and legally compliant hiring, discipline, and discharge practices.
