At spatial eye we all participate in one team to design next generation spatial software, in particular for Spatial Business Intelligence. My role is to elicitate requirements and validate our vision with customers. Together we set out the bigger picture and I entice the team to take on new challenges.Practical projects:* (Current) Implementation of Data Warehouse for Logical (AM DocsCramer) and Physical (GE Smallworld PNI & Legacy GIS)systems; realization of Inventory Management Information Model* Data Warehouse on 11 source systems, spatial or otherwise, and realisation of Vitens Information Model at Vitens;* Data Warehouse for GIS systems and ERP, including implementation of Integrated Asset Data Model, at TenneT;* Audits of large scale DWH project, GIS SCADA/schematic and ICT landscape projects.* (Geo)spatial Datawarehouse design/implementation at Enexis;* Initiation of Gas Network Replacement priotorization program at Enexis;* (Geo) spatial integration of Smallworld, ESRI and Oracle data at Vitens;* WION solution roll out for TenneT and many other Spatial Eye customers;* ICT strategy validation at PWN;* Large scale implementation of GSA/Spatial Workshop at Vitens;* Large scale implementation of GSA/Spatial Workshop at Ziggo;* Functional Application design at Essent (now Enexis).

Project for Vitens, visualising and planning of workorders for the mobile workforce.Project for PWN, replacement of custom GIS solution. The first Smallworld 4.0 project in the world to be rolled-out and the first NRM-Water project in the Netherlands. Role: Team lead for Specification team, Development team and Roll-out teamProject EDF – GDF, replacement of legacy GIS solution. One of the largest GIS project in the world. Team lead for configuration and deployment team.

I started this company during my studies to write planning software for auditors and do consultancy for the dentist department at the Nijmegen university. Later I worked from this company as director of Realworld Innovations. After Realworld Innovations was sold to Smallworld Ltd, and after Smallworld was sold to General Electric, I worked from this company as subcontractor for Core Technology in Cambridge.

Realworld Innovations was founded by me and Realworld OO Systems. The following activities took place:Development of Magik Studio, development environment with debugger, profiler and explorer for Smallworld Magik.Specification and supervision of development of bidirectional interface to Rational Rose. (Magik code import, code generation, round trip database structure including geometry features.)

Realworld was my first employer after using university.Telecom Utrecht – Local telecom operator. Fulfilled analyst role for specifications for introduction of GIS, team lead development for technical development. Realworld representative for project.Telenet – Fast internet operator in Belgium. Fulfilled analyst role for specifications for introduction of GIS, team lead development for technical development. Realworld representative for project.Project Mobile Rom – Largest mobile operator in Romania. Made specifications for introduction of GIS and coordinated all technical development in 4 countries. Realworld representative for project.Product Logical Network Inventory – Product for administrating logical circuits. Made specification and design. Developed first version.NIS AG – Provider of GIS utility solution in Swiss. Developed first version of Electricity Application.All projects were very successful and delivered in time.
