Profile bio

About Kora Kosicka

My background is largely art and design for media directed towards children and includes a Media Arts degree from the Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design. Currently, I work as a freelance designer via my own illustration and design company, and until recently as a Colour Designer for Doberman Pictures. Previously, I held a position with DHX Media in Vancouver as an Art Director. Prior to that, I have worked as a character designer and have contributed designs for Hasbro's Littlest Pet Shop (seasons 1-3) and My Little Pony (season 3, 5 & Equestria Girls DVDs 1-3), and as a Research & Development Artist for The Walt Disney Company. As well as design for television, I provide concept art for toy design as a freelancer. I'm familiar working with the various software involved in designing for animation and other illustrative projects and am always interested in picking up new skills and working with different people to complete projects. In addition, I have experience both working on my own and on a team with art direction to create a cohesive aesthetic, as well as creating for and working under style guides and character bibles.Specialties: Character and costume designToy designDigital painting Fashion illustrationPhotoshop, Illustrator, Flash, some AfterEffects
