About Konstantinos Kotsalos

Konstantinos Kotsalos was born in Athens, Greece in 1991. He holds a Diploma from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and PhD from Faculty of Engineering University of Porto (FEUP) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His PhD research was granted with a full Marie-Curie Fellowship (INCITE) and covered an extensive research on Distribution Management Systems for Low Voltage distribution networks, proposing control functionalities for the future smart secondary substation. During his PhD research (2016-2019), he worked as an R&D specialist of Smart Grids of Efacec in Porto, participating in R&D projects. Since July 2020, he has joined the R&D team of EUROPEAN DYNAMICS participating in EU projects namely for the Energy sector. Among his main research interests are Integration of Distributed Energy Resources, Power System Analysis, Advanced Distribution Management Systems and Muti-agent Based Systems.
