Following graduate school, I worked for 5 years in the Fairfax County Public School system as a speech therapist. From 2005-May 2014, I provided speech services at a private practice, McLean Speech & Language Services, in McLean, VA. Additionally, I work at the Oakwood School in Annandale, VA which services children K-8 with a variety of learning disabilities. In the Summer of 2007, I was the director of Camp SayIt at George Washington University in Washington, DC which is a summer therapy program for children with disabilities. In the Fall of 2008, I was appointed as the head of the Literacy Clinic at George Washington University. I am trained as a practitioner in the Berard Auditory Integration Training. I have also been trained in PROMPT, Visualizing and Verbalizing, Wisnia Kapp Reading Program and Story Grammar Marker. For the past two years, I have presented at a statewide professional development conference on various topics in the field of speech language pathology. I evaluate and treat children, adolescents and adults with a wide range disabilities, including: language and articulation disorders, developmental delays, auditory processing disorders, pervasive developmental disorders, voice disorders, accent reduction, stuttering, cleft lip and palate, executive functioning difficulties, dyslexia and other reading/writing disorders.In June 2014, I opened my own practice, Chain Bridge Speech & Language, LLC, as a pursuit of my life-long dream to own my own practice and to continue to provide speech and language therapy to children, adolescents and adults.
