Dr. K.K. Thyagharajan has over 35 years of experience in the field of engineering education. Holding a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from PSG College of Technology (Madras University) and an M.E. in Applied Electronics from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, he further enhanced his qualifications with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from Bharathiar University and a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy (Anna University).Throughout his career, he has served in various leadership roles, including Principal, Dean, and Professor at different engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. His contributions to the academic world extend beyond his teaching responsibilities. He is the author of seven books on computing, including "Flash MX 2004" published by McGraw Hill (India), which has been widely adopted as a textbook and reference material. Additionally, he has been invited as a chairperson and speaker at numerous national and international conferences and workshops.His expertise is recognized in the academic community. He serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several international journals and conferences. His guidance has been invaluable to numerous Ph.D. candidates at Anna University, where he is a recognized supervisor. His research has resulted in nearly 200 publications in national and international journals and conferences, and fourteen candidates have received Ph.D. under his guidance. Moreover, his innovative work has led to three granted patents and another four published patents.His research interests span a wide range of areas, including Image Processing, Machine and Deep Learning for Embedded Systems, Electronics and IoT, Multimedia, and e-learning. His contributions to the field have been acknowledged with several awards, including the Distinguished Faculty (Multimedia and Image Processing) Award from Venus International Foundation Chennai, the Indo Global Education Excellence Award from International Benevolent Research Foundation Kolkata, and the Best Administrator award from PEARL Foundation Madurai. His significant achievements have also earned him recognition from Marquis Who's Who in the World, and his biography has been featured in its 25th Anniversary Edition.
