I am a puzzle aficionado – crossword puzzles, logic puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, cryptic puzzles, mechanical puzzles, etc. Every single type is different and fascinating in its own way. However, every difference between each type is far less important than the one thing that they all have in common – the simple fact that every first step towards a solution is fundamentally the same. Every solution begins with taking inventory of all the known variables, establishing the desired outcome, and determining the priorities. In doing so, a strategy has already begun to form, and the first iteration towards a solution can begin. Similarly, every project, job, and career operate in the same capacity. There is always a puzzle to solve, whether it’s troubleshooting an existing problem, preventing a potential problem, or developing plans for continuous improvement. I always welcome these puzzles, no matter their nature. I know that I not only have the skills to solve them, but I also know that solving will make a difference, and I want to make a difference. I thrive on generating ideas; on identifying trends; on connecting seemingly disparate phenomena; on asking questions and pondering answers; on studying every detail of a situation, problem, system, mechanisms, or plan. However, my boundless curiosity and desire to understand the entire world around me are not the only attributes I pride myself on. With my resourcefulness, the care I take in making decisions, and my willingness to take control of a situation, I am able to take my fascination and wonderment with ideas from conceptual to tangible, from puzzle to puzzle solved, and I feel that my ability to do so is one of my greatest assets. With all that said, I am more than just a puzzle aficionado. My work and activity experiences have helped me to hone my skills in time management, event planning, marketing, conflict mediation, interpersonal relationship building, quality assurance and control, project management, research methods, data and process analysis, and crisis management, among others. When taken in conjunction with my analytical and puzzle-solving abilities, I find myself completely comfortable in both technical and non-technical situations, and I take pride in using my abilities to continually create meaningful and productive interactions with colleagues, superiors, and clients.
