This project covers more than 50 countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America. Together with the client I designed the annual work programme. I managed and co-ordinated all work, including colleagues and sub-contractors in 50 countries. I negotiated and managed scope and budgets with the client for all the countries and quality checked all deliverables. In order to check particular details of waste management requirements, I communicated with regulators in various EU and other countries. This project included procuring services from a large number of sub-contractors and managing their contracts.I’ve been managing a team of 70 AECOM and sub-contractor staff on a due diligence project that involved 9 countries and more than 700 sites. I have developed excellent working relationships with AECOM staff and sub-contractors in Europe, USA, Canada and Brazil, and identified experts in various areas (carbon trading, Industrial Emissions Directive, cost of emissions abatement). On this project, AECOM was working as a part of a very large team including mining, legal, finance and other consultants. I managed a complex budget of €0.8m, including contracts and invoicing. I procured services from a large number of sub-contractors and managed their contracts.
