Klara Andersson is a 24 year old member of Sweden National Team in Rallycross since 2020. At the age of 7 she began in karting, winning multiple championships before switching to rallycross 2018. Since then she has become Junior Swedish Rallycross Vice Champion 2020 and Swedish Rallycross Champion 2021, with her BMW 120. She did her debut in the FIA World Rallycross Championship in RX2e at Spa-Francorchamps in 2021, where she scored a 4th place with lap-times in line with the top contenders. In 2022 she took the step up to the FIA World Rallycross Championship with CE Dealer Team, being the first permanent female driver in the series. In World RX of Portugal she also became the first female driver to score a podium, and in World RX of Germany the first female to get a heat win.Klara is also involved in Extreme E, where she attended the Rookie Invitational Test with Acciona Sainz in 2021. In 2022 she got signed as the Female Championship Reserve Driver of the series.September 2022 in Chile she did her debut in Extreme E for ABT CUPRA XE, replacing Jutta Kleinschmidt after an injury. Finishing 3rd with Nasser Al-Attiyah and getting the first podium of the season for the team. In November 2022 Klara raced again for ABT CUPRA XE in the season final of Extreme E in Uruguay. Winning the race and becoming the youngest ever Extreme E race winner.In 2023 Klara raced for ABT CUPRA XE in Extreme E and scored 2 podiums. In addition, she made history in World RX of Hong Kong being the first woman to win an overall qualifying round.Season 2024 Klara joined the SUN Minimeal Team in Extreme E alongside Timo Scheider and will continue in World RX for her third season with CE Dealer Team.
