Provided support and oversaw the installation of the Auto-Grease system on towed brooms. Collaborated with GS Engineering to document all updates. Developed a FIR to support integration of an H-Tractor and Towed Broom IPP plant. The FIR details all items to check when the H-Tractor and Towed Broom are connected at Pierce and document expected performance levels with time and speed ranges. Created detailed procedure documents for the set up and use of several key elements of operation.Created a customer test document, used during customer inspection of towed broom units. Supported Snow CSO and sustaining projects though completion of CN’s. Gained an in-depth understanding of the Tow -Behind Broom through creating instructional documents, testing, and hands on operation.Continued support of continuous improvement and cost reduction projects for the Snow product line.Support Pilot build of Single Engine Blower at GTC. Designed, developed and tested an ultra efficient and timesaving pinnable waterway mechanism, whose purpose is to reduce the time it takes to change a ladder from rescue to spray mode, or vise versa, and increase the opportunity to fight fires and save lives. Worked as a part of the aerial engineering group to design and model Aerial components of firetrucks, Completed major redesigns of 3 different ladders, pedestals, torque boxes, and various other components. Worked primarily with Solid Works and Draftsight/AutoCAD.Collaborated with other engineers and other engineering companies to complete projects.The efforts of my work can be seen on dozens of trucks and also every new aerial fire truck for the foreseeable future.
