As a nominated Senior Specialist in the area of Cloud Application Architecture I drive work related to the continuous activity for our applications to become and stay cloud native (application architecture and infrastructure). I drive and participate in studies in cloud related areas on corporate level as well as within the OSS/BSS Solution Area and in collaboration with other Solution Areas (globally).This involves keeping up to speed with the latest technologies and trends and promote/transform the relevant ones into R&D friendly strategies and principles that drive applications to adopt cloud native technologies and architectures. This currently results in working with microservice architectures, application containerization and kubernetes. Both participate and chair Joint Technology Forums between Ericsson and some of the large international IT players.Broad contact network within Ericsson and participate in corporate initiatives, studies and strategy work. Part of the architecture team that drive the work around an Ericsson Kubernetes based application development framework.

Driver of cloud readiness in the business unit.Secured and initiated a Cloud pilot for Mobile Broadband Charging where we also evaluate Ericsson blade System as the target HW platform. An important aspect was to play an active role in the business unit Cloud Portfolio transformation.With my cloud/virtualization and commercial platform competence I contribute to group function strategies and Ericsson Cloud System activities

OEM Technology management was a central R&D organization within the Business Unit Multi Mediation covering all R&D within the business unit around the globe. I held the position as Technical Manager which included the following responsibilities, authorities and tasks:* Responsible for and define the 3PP platform architecture within the Business Unit Multimedia (including the technical road map and direction)* Chairman and driver of Technology Forum, community leader of a web based community for knowledge sharing and reuse with bi-weekly meetings with forum members and representatives* Chairman and driver of Technology Coordination that is the internal forum for architectural discussions and decisions* Initiate/approve prototyping and evaluations* Support Design Units around the globe in platform related discussions, remotely and on site.* Supplier contacts involving technology and strategy discussions and procurements* Contribute to corporate strategies related to my expertise* Drive and coordinate the work for a group of Technical Product Managers and System Managers related to the aboveThe work as a Technical Manager requires high level view and coordination of all technology areas and at the same time it requires detailed knowledge of the same. Being involved in procurements of third party products and the life cycle management of the same is also an important part of the work.

OEM Platform was a new unit and much time was spent on a startup phase. As systems manager I performed technical studies and was involved in procurements. One major task was to introducing a new preferred storage supplier and I assisted Design Units with new product introduction on site in Montreal, Shanghai, Madrid and Chennai. During this period I started up and became the chairman of Technology forum, a global technology forum within Ericsson.

Worked with operations of Tru64, Solaris, HPUX, SAN (Brocade), HP, EVA, Hitachi 9980, Sun Storage 6920, HSG80, cluster, Veritas, Legato Networker, Sun Fire 12k, HP OVSAM, Unix scripting, Autosys, in-house applications etc in a business critical environment with 24 by 7 on-call. I was driving the planning of the unixsystems and several large storage area networks.
