Klaus is an independent consultant with more than 40 years of experience, solely in the pharmaceutical industry. He worked for both, big groups of companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Merck and Almirall and boutique companies like Thiemann Arzneimittel, Taurus Pharma or Luvos. Klaus holds a diploma in Marketing from the University of Muenster (MBA) and learned the business from scratch: he was apprentice, trainee, sales rep and Junior Product Manager. Klaus quickly increased responsibilities and soon became accountable for national and international challenges. He kept his hands-on mentality, demonstrated empathic leadership and strategic foresight. Klaus was part of the task force in headquarters to roll-out successfully the OTC business worldwide at Boehringer Ingelheim and later ran the OTC business for this company in Germany. He developed Taurus Pharma from almost nothing to a company sold for 400 million Euros to Spanish Almirall SA. Before starting his own business, Klaus worked for a mid-sized German company and gained additional knowledge in all relevant distribution channels outside pharmacies. He is well connected.
