I have taught to industry and governments in Australia, USA, UK, Germany, Bulgaria, Malaysia and China as well as at Sydney, LaTrobe and Western Sydney universities. I am certified by HL7 International for HL7 V2.4 - V2.7.My involvement in medical technology development and implementation spans over 25 years. For seven years I was the CIO of a major Australian healthcare corporation. Passionate about e-Health I led the Australasian College of Health Informatics for 7y, co-chaired two peak Australian e-Health Standards Committees, chaired HL7 Australia 2002-09 and served as the only non-US board member of HL7 International for eight years.★ I have founded nine businesses as well as three not-for-profit organisations and have successfully turned-around over a dozen entities.★ I was the foundation co-chair of two international standards committeesMy research interests include:► factors determining healthcare data and interoperability standards adoption► the impact of evidence-based professional expert advice on society
