Kent Butler is a Leadership Specialist and Keynote Speaker at TRI Leadership Resources where he works to motivate people in everything he does. He has been known to go to incredible lengths to inspire people: singing crazy songs, standing on tables, running around rooms, jumping out of curtains, simply being silent, and screaming at the top of his lungs just to name a few. But he knows that words must be backed by action; people will sometimes doubt what you say, but they will always believe what you do. So, he has been doing a lot of “do” (not Mountain Dew, but he believes that’s good too!). From leadership of national career technical student organizations to regional faith-based groups and local nonprofits Kent’s “do” stretches into many realms. He has appeared and spoken in front of groups as small as 10 people to groups of over 7,000 people. Through his personal experiences and humorous stories, he hopes that you will be inspired to do what you can, with what you have, where you are. He draws inspiration from everything in life—even from things as simple as a bottle of ketchup that said: “To do a common thing, uncommonly well, brings success.” Kent gives audiences the talents, skills, and beliefs to look at common things in an uncommon way and see the opportunity to make a difference. Through service organizations and leadership experiences on the national, state, district and local levels he was been able to take this message to more than 400,000 people throughout America. In his “free” time, he enjoys…well, to work (it doesn’t sound like normal “free” time, but Kent is a crazy guy). He is employed as an actor at The Great Passion Play, a reenactment of Christ’s last days on earth, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. A citizen of strong faith, he works to convey the same love that has been shown him. He is an avid cross country runner and likes to think he is running the race to win, especially in life!
