I like to build apps and websites, and I love learning new tech. I’ve been freelancing in web development for the last year after having served 10 years in the Navy as a submarine officer. I’m an electrical and nuclear engineer by training, but left active duty (I still serve in the Reserves) to focus on developing my technical skills, Javascript in particular (with Typescript of course). Having recently graduated from coding bootcamp (Hack Reactor) and ranked a Top Rated freelancer on Upwork (100% Job Success score, 20+ ratings, only 5-star ratings), I’m diving headfirst into becoming a better programmer by teaching others on my YouTube channel and offering tools to new learners through my business, Web Bae. My background in leadership and teamwork with the military, client-facing work as a freelancer, and ability to quickly learn complex tech has shaped me into a person who works well with others on mission-critical projects. In my free time I’m an adventure seeker, which lately involves a lot of trail running and backpacking.
