With over 20 years of teaching experience and significant leadership roles at Texas A&M University, Barbara Klein has established a strong foundation in both academic and industry settings. She has served as Associate Department Head, overseeing the Undergraduate Curriculum for four years, and currently holds the position of Associate Graduate Programs Director. Additionally, she serves as Co-Director of the Virtual Production Institute in Bryan/College Station and oversees the Visualization Industry Partners, building key connections between academia and industry.Her expertise in curriculum and leadership spans 3D animation, UI/UX development, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on fostering innovation and career readiness. She has developed and taught a variety of courses, including technical coursework, such as AfterEffects and Graphic Design to Capstone for Undergraduate and Graduates. As entrepreneurship of the Arts is a current focus, she has created Business for Creatives as well, which guides students through research methodologies and real-world business practices. Barbara is deeply involved in applied learning, leading study abroad programs in collaboration with the Center for International Business Studies where the application of the arts, technology and entrepreneurship align. In addition to her academic roles, Barbara engages in consulting, advising startups, and leveraging her broad technological and artistic knowledge to support entrepreneurial ventures. She is open to engaging with other like-minded individuals whenever possible.
