I was a software developer for a team focused on combining AR, IoT, Robotics, ML, and the cloud. I used technologies such as python, Azure Cognitive Services, and OpenCV to analyze physical spaces by running computer vision algorithms on real-time streaming video.I developed mobile applications in ReactNative as well as web applications in ReactJS. During this work, I owned our unit testing, using Jest, and our telemetry story, using App Center. I also developed firmware for IoT devices, and regularly worked with technologies including BLE, UWP, and Mongoose OS.

I was a software developer for Windows Data & Intelligence Team, working on Windows IoT Core. I used data analytics to provide users with an OS as powerful and reliable as full Windows 10 for their embedded/IoT Devices.In this role, I: - Developed and validated UWP applications for Windows IoT Core, at a level acceptable for exposure to the open source community- Developed and validated web, iOS, and android applications for internal selfhosting- Regularly debugged on IoT devices of various types (RPI, Dragonboard, MinnowBoard, Up2) with various sensors, monitoring functionality such as network reliability, bluetooth functionality, and general device performance- Used data analytics and machine learning techniques to assess and monitor product performance from accumulated telemetry- Accumulated data from device telemetry using Cosmos to answer product questions from PMs and Devs- Ensured compliance to privacy and security standards for all data- Managed and maintained azure resources across team, making sure that they were compliant, relevant, and appropriately budgeted

Performed as section bass player with the Ocala Symphony Orchestra, performing a variety of works, such as concertos, major symphonies, and pops performances - works such as Carmina Burana, Til Eulenspiegel, Dvorak Symphony No 7, The Rite of Spring, and more.

I implemented a feature for PowerPoint's Android and Universal mobile apps that renders a laser pointer onto a presentation, utilizing the phone's gyroscope to allow users to more-easily control the laser's position across various device sizes. I performed quality testing on my feature, implemented telemetry to track its value, and worked with other members of the team to come to the best design for our users. I also performed validation testing for the overall product, logging and tracking bugs as I encountered them.

I implemented audio integration for Sway.com with another intern. We designed our feature, wrote specs for it, and reviewed it with members of our team before costing the tasks associated with our feature and developing them. We wrote accompanying unit tests and altered existing tests to include our feature. We also tested the general application and logged any found bugs.

I performed bug fixes and helped implement features throughout the Grooveshark website, using HTML, CSS/Less, JavaScript, and JQuery. I developed further familiarity with Git, as well as developed better web development practices regarding creating web applications that are friendly across browsers and devices.

I spent 4 weeks in each of Microsoft's 3 main disciplines - PM, Dev, and Test - while working on a project with 2 other explorer interns. Our project gave us experience developing web applications. This application allowed users to annotate images unobtrusively through a lightweight and intuitive authoring experience.
