Supervisor Manufacturing Engineer
Current• Ability to manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians as direct reports,including personal accountability for productivity of the team.• Able to provide leadership and technical guidance for a diverse group of ManufacturingEngineers and Technicians• Experience establishing financial and productivity goals and objectives for engineeringresources.• Ability to craft and drive business level objectives for continuous improvement of engineeringrelated activities.• Proven experience in developing new and improved engineering processes, includingECO/ECNs, work instruction development, BOM creation and manipulation, build supportdocumentation systems, and assembly floor interface solutions.• Evaluating manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly,tooling, and materials. Conferring with equipment vendors and soliciting observations from operators.• Developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing,modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.• Improving manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning staffing, work flow, space requirements,and equipment layout.• Assuring product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product, processcapabilities and establishing standards by confirming manufacturing processes.• Providing manufacturing decision-making information to management by calculating production labor, material costs and estimating future requirements. Performs costing and /or estimates for product changes or new products.• Possessing a solid understanding or background in lean manufacturing, fixture design, part design,assembly practices and design for manufacturing.• Implementing continuous product improvements aimed at improving reliability, design formanufacturability and assembly (DFMA), as dictated by customer needs and requests.
