As the Head of Content Marketing, I managed both the product development of the blog site (blog.patreon.com), implementing acquisition features, and the strategy behind our editorial production supporting our brand awareness and retention/expansion goals. Under my management, our blog traffic grew by 70%, and conversion rate more than doubled. I managed a team of editors, writers, SEO specialists, and web UX/dev, and together we produced nearly 200 pieces of content in 2019 alone between articles and video projects. Our work drove brand awareness through social impressions and blog traffic, assisted creator sign-ups, and supported creator earnings expansion. While my expertise is in content strategy and creation, specifically written blog content as well as social and email marketing, at Patreon I also got to be involved in many projects outside my normal scope of work. Recently I lead the technical production of our Weird Stream-A-Thon to support artists as COVID-19 forced the cancellation of SXSW 2020. At Patreon I got to grow as a people manager, content strategist, and project owner — there was never a dull moment, and there was a lot of laughter, passion, and camaraderie.
