Director of School Culture and Climate aligns social-emotional learning and behavioral intervention systems to create a positive learning environment and school culture for the Hurley School community. Director of School Culture and Climate is responsible for fostering partnerships and collaboration with families, community members and organizations.

● Oversee and direct all family and community engagement efforts for the school.● Developed the afterschool program, Bodega de Arte, creating a team that would ensure financial resources, solid programs, and partnerships, including one with Child Care Choices of Boston, all to serve morelow-income families. Successfully navigate difficult conversations and challenges to create a sustainableafterschool program.● Oversee the Director of Community Partnerships and Extended Learning, which manages Bodega de Arte, and assume the role in times of vacancy.● Create a High School and Beyond Curriculum to make the BPS High School Choice Process more equitable for 8th grade students. This includes connecting with BPS High Schools, creating an advisory committee of teacher volunteers, high school visits, career exposure from a series of community guest speakers, and most importantly equipping our students with tools for success.● Create professional development opportunities for Bodega de Arte staff, high school and college volunteers, and partners.
