My journey with Honda Cars began in 1998 when I joined the organization as a Joint Manager. Mydiligence, strong expertise and foresightedness in dealing with Taxation gave me the opportunity to lead the Taxation vertical. Have been taking care of Tax incentives and compliance of manufacturing units at zonal and regional offices across the country. Over the years, there have been many key areas where I have proven my efficiency and benefited the organization as well, which are: Successfully resolved International Tax matter (PE Issues) with the orders from Supreme Court/Delhi High Court & Representation to PMO, Finance Ministries, CBDT etc. Got favorable orders on Royalty expenditure under Income Tax Matter from Supreme Court. Managed to avail full sales tax exemption from UP government by representing at various forum including Allahabad High Court. Have been a key player in drafting company policies and government policies as member of Central Advisory Committee of Excise. Worked upon and successfully finalized MOUs with state government for setting up units in UP & Rajasthan. Profitably resolving tax disputes while partnering with senior advocates & consultants for preparing Writs, SLP, counters, rejoinders, caveat applications with High Court/Supreme Court. Steered many international tax agreements by applying tax treaties/FTA, drafting contracts & agreements focusing on Advance Pricing Agreements (APA), Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) etc. Have been a Team leader for Tax Committee for diagnostic of operations & daily management, supply chain restructuring & redesigning of inbound & outbound logistics. Played a key role in negotiating with Labour Union on long-term settlements & annual elections.
