Founded and grew the company from scratch to 60+ employees in two countries. Was responsible for technology (coded the first version of the platform), Finance, HR, Operations, Client Support, and many other things.

I was leading the team which was working for our customer — ContextWeb AdExchange (http://contextweb.com). Projects:- CTR prediction system based on Apache Hadoop. Almost 100% of Java code was developed by me. The architecture was developed in collaboration with customer's researchers and managers. Also I was participating in algorithms development.- Framework built on top of Apache Hadoop that allows to define hadoop mapreduce jobs and data flow using XML descriptors.- DataService. Webservices based frontend for various company datasources (MSSQL, Hadoop datasets, etc) and a caching java client for it. - TagServer. High-performance web server that serves advertising impression requests from publisher site and does some first-line actions as validation, caching etc. I developed the new version in Java based on a legacy C# implementation.- Various small projects related to real-time advertising system including Real Time Bidding engine. - Customization of Apache Hadoop Hive and Apache Hadoop Pig.- Hiring and managing a team of java developersTechnologies used: core java, Apache Hadoop (expert level of knowledge), Spring, Hibernate, REST web services, JMX, a bit of JavaScript, bash scripting, multithreading programming.
