I am a haptic designer, wearable tech founder, visiting artist, lecturer and TED speaker. I design products and experiences that communicate information through touch. I have educational backgrounds in Industrial Design, Fashion Design and Mechanical Engineering. And my work focuses on developing products and solutions at the intersection of Touch, Wearables and Movement Learning. Through thoughtful user and market research, opportunity identification, ideation, insight development, rapid prototyping, testing, and delivery to market; I have delivered high-value design solutions and disruptive innovations for organizations ranging from WearWorks and Unilever to the Smithsonian and the Kansas City Art Institute.Ultimately, I believe that design is a tool that can be leveraged for products, systems, organizations, and communities to create a greater impact by providing people with insights and process they need to sustainably fail, iterate, thrive and share. I have worked in teams from all around the world to turn great ideas into great products and user experiences, and I mentor startups looking to make massive impacts in impact-driven tech space. I have a decade of experience building and operating companies, raising funds, creating partnerships, delivering products and building and supporting a global team. I am currently open to exploring opportunities to make designing with the sense of touch as approachable, accessible and affordable as designing for the senses of vision and hearing. I welcome connecting with people in the space of Haptics, Wearables, Design, and Social Impact. I am also personally interested in human movement and movement learning.
