About Kimberly Kovacs

Kimberly is both an industry leader and accomplished senior executive, who was recently named to the Forbes 50 over 50 list. Kimberly has had a long career transforming industries as an entrepreneur, investor, and mentor –having founded or co-founder 6 companies, raising more than $120M in equity capital for these ventures and negotiating several hundred million dollar exits. She is leveraging this experience and expertise to lead the team at Santa Fe Farms which has positioned itself to become a preeminent leader in Industrial Hemp. By focusing on important hemp products such as paper and pulp, animal and human proteins, and bioplastics, as well as new industrial opportunities such as the production of advanced carbons and building systems the company aims to be part of the climate solution and help industry leaders reach their carbon budget goals. Furthermore, by incorporating regenerative farming practices on our own farms and encouraging the farmers we work with to do the same as standard operating practice, we expect to become a leader in environmental sustainability within the Hemp Industry by contributing to society’s negative carbon footprint goal.

Hemp sequesters more CO2 than most plants on the planet, and as a company we are focusing our efforts on sustainability in innovative ways. By creating advanced carbons from hemp (such as biochar for soil regeneration and carbon capture and graphene for industrial additives and futuristic clean energy storage devices) as well as generating and trading carbon offsets by working with our indigenous partners, we are setting the agenda for ESG Investing (environmental, social and governance) in the hemp industry.
