MCRHC is a critical access hospital in rural Iowa. I am a one person department with a part-time assistant. In my PR world I promote MCRHC in all its facets - from brand image to service lines and fundraising. I do this through press releases, print media outlets, social media, video and radio. I create my own content - from print ads/graphics to radio, photography and video. I also lead any physical changes throughout the facility including paint, decor, and furniture.I my Foundation world, I work with a the Foundation Board to raise funds to support MCRHC. We currently host one large fundraising event each year as well as an annual appeal campaign. The Foundation also provides college scholarships for local youth seeking a career in healthcare.I also am the liasion for the Hospital Auxiliary, which also raises funds which are funneled back to MCRHC through department grant requests. Included in Auxiliary duties are gift shop management, volunteer recruitment and management, and gift shop buyer.
