After 12 years of management consulting and large projects, I worked 4 years as general manager of a large building company.In 2008 I changed my career to sustainable development. After years of hit and run property developers a lot of people, companies and cities are stuck with houses, offices and even neighbourhoods within cities that don’t fit our needs, are almost not transformable and are high on energy-consumption. For me, sustainability has a lot to do with creating places, buildings, offices that people like to come to. Places with clear identities. Transformable buildings. Strong concepts, that have the ability to change with the future. Building with re-usable materials, using renewable energy. Now I work on large re-development projects.
