After the $140B merger between IHS Markit and S&P Global in February 2022, I was promoted to join the Commodity Team. A core aspect of my role is improving decision-making by using quantitative and qualitative methods to implement new approaches across business lines. I was recruited to Atlas from an Istanbul-based Senior Geologist role to motivate two direct reports for two teams focused on unconventional Mississippi Lime assets in the Anadarko Basin. In this role, I was also appointed as the sole Geologist over optimizing assets and a robust horizontal drilling program for two years. Delivered competitive intelligence on industry trends and upstream Oil & Gas company analysis to C-level executives and management at quarterly meetings. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬IMPACTS & ACHIEVEMENTS► Planned acquisition targets and drilled 60 successful horizontal wells in only three (3) years. ► High-graded drilling locations by building credibility and relationships with technical and non-technical leaders to align on strategy, inspire stakeholders, and execute asset management plans on a day-to-day basis. ► Supported deal execution and business development by working with lean, agile project teams to identify several potential horizontal targets by mapping Appalachian Basin regions, cross-sections, and structures.

Throughout my tenure as Geologist at Anadarko (formerly Kerr-McGee Oil and Gas), I several positions as part of the new-hire rotational program on three teams: South Texas Development (Lead Geologist), Deepwater Gulf of Mexico Exploration, and Mid-Continent / Anadarko Basin Development. Anadarko was a company engaged in hydrocarbon exploration. In 2019, Anadarko was acquired by Occidental Petroleum (Oxy). Occidental is an American company engaged in hydrocarbon exploration in the United States and the Middle East as well as petrochemical manufacturing in the United States, Canada, and Chile.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬SOUTH TEXAS DEVELOPMENT - LEAD GEOLOGIST► Stewarded all aspects of the geoscience business cycle across two counties by creating a 20-well prospect pitch book for a future asset divestiture and used quantitative / qualitative methods to identify asset opportunities. DEEPWATER GULF OF MEXICO - EXPLORATION GEOLOGIST► Generated prospects for two large asset areas by using models to incorporate the impact of forward-looking risk assessment on key value drivers for a large-scale interpretation and prospect generation project. ► Partnered with the technology group to integrate 3D seismic interpretations and fault planes to create structure maps and amplitude extraction maps for proposed drilling locations.MID-CONTINENT / ANADARKO BASIN DEVELOPMENT - DEVELOPMENT GEOLOGIST► Enhanced the company portfolio by generating 20 actionable prospects and supporting a water flood project.► Created prospects and depositional fairway maps using wireline logs, drilling my first prospect in the first six (6) months with the company. ► Directed field development and an uphole, behind-pipe pay project.
