Converting a comprehensive project management course for use in the non-profit sector. Changes included tailored case studies and appropriate terminology. Introductory materials were added to demonstrate the usefulness of project management methodology to support non-profit strategic goals.

With experience both in project management and emergency management, developing a course for a novel approach in Risk Management. Expertise and content provided in all phases of project management. Also providing templates and processes to allow companies the option to tailor their approaches and align with their PMO and corporate policies.

Managed enhancements and updates to a nationally-accessible provider database. Worked closely with vendor to create a plan for data migration. And managed SMEs to draft a plan for data cleansing prior to migration. Also drafted plans for provider communications for access options and upcoming changes. Managing a team that performs portfolio analysis of project intake for all of Steward Health Care. The analysis includes eliciting input from multiple groups (project requesters, security, enterprise architects, vendors) to obtain requirements, scope and cost. Also managing multiple projects in a variety of areas, supporting Steward Health Care across their national hospital system. Projects include: integrating financial systems with Meditech, a national nursing education system and secure account access for hospital staff. A detailed and comprehensive SDLC is followed, insuring the business needs are met and a comprehensive approach to go-lives, inclusive of detailed support documentation.

Managed an RFP process to provide cost-saving & shared services for a Massachusetts health insurance consortium (a limited engagement position). Responsibilities included: Coordinating processes and communications with executive leadership and Massachusetts medical interest groups. Also managed prospective vendor engagement and insuring their products fully met national and state regulatory standards.

Managed the creation of a clinical data repository system, connecting through Epic to a 3rd party web-based interface, which provided access to high quality and homogenous archived medical records. Responsibilities included overseeing planning and communications between vendor and senior clinical leadership and adhering to BMC PMO standards. Comprehensive communication plans, training programs and risk management principles were applied to this project to keep pace with an aggressive schedule. Also managed the revision of a large-scale external website. This included coordinating services between a cloud hosting vendor and content management teams.

Managing a multi-phase program to produce a sophisticated, enterprise-wide Business Intelligence application (using Tableau BI software). Responsibilities include interfacing with executive management, development vendor staff, corporate web teams and production support groups. The first of 3 deployments was delivered on time and met feature scope. Managing a process-improvement initiative for physicians, across multiple applications. Successfully deployed critical facility data to an enterprise-wide database. Adding process improvement to local PM practices.

Responsible for large-scale product or program implementations as well as implementing and/or managing customized products for specific employer groups or market segments. Works in conjuction with Product Management and a cross-functional team, managing all operational aspects of products, benefit design, and performance for specific products/project and ensure integrity of the products. Also serves as the direct contact for internal customers in the operational management of the product. Managed implementation of new products and product enhancements to support Essential Healthcare Benefits for 2014 federal mandates. Currently managing broad initiative for process improvement at the program level with enrollment, financial transactions and data warehouse processing.

Senior Project Manager on 8 different projects. Managed 2 projects from vendor selection through project construction and launch, with highly satisfactory results from the business partners. These projects included database tracking of member health conditions, ASP models for vendor management and incorporating electronic methods of managing host plan medical records. Acted as an effective communicator between business, IT and vendors. A rigorous and detailed project lifecycle methodology was followed. Conducted project reviews to senior management teams.

As part of the PMI Mass Bay chapter, coordinated training courses for a 2000+ member group, faciliating a process to enable members to have an internet study group for the PMP exam. Also prepared materials/taught 1-hour seminars that provide credits for certification.

Helped establish a vision with this chapter for the new role of VP of Volunteers. Worked with team to establish an volunteer intake process. Provided clear processes to obtain PDUs as a volunteer. Organized volunteer appreciation events.

Project management responsiblities for implementing hospital-wide education programs and analysis of trends in emergency room admitance. Assisted in managing pharmacy equipment upgrade and creating/maintaining pharmacy webiste.

Developed project requirements for customized-software to handle processing of astronomical data. Implemented project using highly-sophisticated animation software to create video-quality graphics (jpg and tiff images). Developed algorithms to graphically sort critical data points. Analyzed data with astronomers and video producers to select images/processes most appropriate for an educational video.

Project managed a software development team of 4 engineers to maintain and add features to a commercial nautical software product. This product interfaced to digital images (both nautical charts and topographic maps) and a real-time connection to navigational/GPS hardware. Product specification work was done with the marketing department and also systems integration and source code maintenance.

Developed graphical software and toolkits for a Unix and VMS environments. Wrote cusomtized display device drivers, specializing in multi-monitor capabilities. Also managed small teams in maintaining 2d/3d device drivers on a WindowsNT platform.
