Prior to this position, I spent 16 years working in a dynamic and ever evolving environment at Lee Valley, I am motivated and inspired by the fast pace of the creative industry, the changes in technology and transitional processes. MY HISTORYMy career started with the National Museum of Science and Technology, providing graphics and illustrations for exhibit content. A key responsibility was as a member of the design team for the opening of the National Aviation Museum, providing technical Illustrations and exploded view drawing of all the aircraft.I next joined McKenzie Krusberg Design Associates where I designed wayfinding and signage systems for large clientele in both the private and public sectors. After ten years, I moved on to exhibit design work, first with Expographiq and secondly as freelance designer for the opening of the new Hall of Honour Exhibit at the Canadian War Museum (Sussex Dr).My next career move was to join Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum (HOK) as a signage designer during the high tech peak. This architectural firm held a global alliance with Nortel Networks and as part of the design team we created wayfinding and signage systems along with environmental graphics for many of the local Nortel campuses. I received recognition from both HOK and Nortel and was promoted to Design Associate.At Lee Valley Tools Ltd. I began my career as the Print Production Coordinator, was promoted to Print Production Manager and then Partner Manager with a team of six direct reports. My last promotion was to Projects and Partner Manager with a team of 11 individuals, (prior to corporate downsizing).I pride myself on being energetic and open to learning. I can immediately take on resource management, scheduling and workflow management. I am ready with my skills at networking and ability to support management, stakeholders, suppliers and staff alike.
