• Population genetics in bumblebees. Estimation of genetic diversity, population structuring, IBD, … (Belspo project, BRAINS-BE, BELBEES)
• Studying thermoregulation and thermal adaptation in bumblebees, in the light of the ongoing climate change (FWO- and EOS-project, CLiPS). Using next-gen-sequencing (RAD-seq), bio-informatic tools, and both.
• Other projects: studying the effect of pesticides (e.g. sulfoxaflor) on wild bees, and the distribution of biocontrol agents (e.g. Serenade MAX) by pollinators
• Networking and cooperation with many other research groups and labs
• Teaching and guidance of multiple bachelor, master and PhD-students

Studie van het marktaandeel van Cannabis die in België wordt geteeld op de Belgische Cannabismarkt (GEOCAN); Detectie van sporen van de productie van synthetische drugs in oppervlaktewater (GEOAMP). Short term contract until the end of the project.

Studying the loss of genetic diversity and increased genetic structuring in response to forest area reduction in ground dwelling insects. Replacement contract until the end of the project.
