I am a Marketing Engineer for Renishaw plc, a global high-precision metrology company. Currently I am responsible for the promotion of the fixturing product range. I studied Engineering at the University of Cambridge. During my studies I found out that I was rather hopeless at grasping the technical and mathematical concepts required to be a "proper" Engineer! I was much more interested in the business side and ultimately destined for a life in marketing. I switched to Manufacturing Engineering where I learnt not only about the secrets to factory management, but also about strategy, finance and organisational behaviour. After a year at Cranfield University during the financial crisis, I joined Renishaw as a Graduate. During my time at Renishaw, I've discovered that I'm something of a career chameleon, able to adapt to any scenario that I'm presented with. I have project managed high-precision probing systems, provided direction to Industry 4.0 software solutions, and have produced promotional material for metrology consumables.
