Long-term, intensive technical assistance projects included: -Trauma-informed care (TIC): Oversaw trauma-informed consultation project to support full-scale implementation of TIC at a 166-bed state psychiatric hospital. Provided guidance for new processes and practices, including frameworks for evaluation and indicator selection. -Data-Driven Decision Making: Led the design of a technical assistance program to augment providers’ ability to engage in values-based contracting, utilize cost data, and advocate for policy change based on patient outcome data. -Kansas City Perinatal Recovery Collaborative: Facilitated strategic alignment among multidisciplinary providers serving pregnant and postpartum women with SUD in Kansas City. Identified funding opportunities and led collaborative applications with 10+ member organizations for Federal and philanthropic grants.Collected, analyzed, and interpreted data for Federal grant reports and facilitated stakeholder engagement in redesign of program evaluation framework. Proactively built and maintained relationships with behavioral health leadership throughout the region to assess and respond to provider needs.

Designed and implemented statistical analysis of program data to determine how residential instability is associated with birth outcomes of 700 clients at Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP). Translated research findings into practical, accessible research implications for program planning, resource allocation, and direct practices at HPP.Provided ongoing biopsychosocial assessments, facilitate collaborative goal-setting and treatment planning, and implement client-centered, clinical interventions and crisis support with families experiencing child welfare involvement, homelessness, and complex trauma. Facilitated and expedite access to resources that caregivers need to ensure consistency, stability, and safety for themselves and their children. Advocated for clients’ needs by collaborating with multidisciplinary provider teams that include child protective services case workers, attorneys, teachers, and therapists to ensure the client’s goals are being met and that each family’s child welfare case is progressing towards closure.

Conducted and synthesized research on the prevalence of risk factors for and outcomes of psychiatric hospitalization of children in foster care through academic literature review, review of current statutes and policies, and interviews with former foster youth and psychiatrists.
