I am a corporate business employee turned Entrepreneur after 15 years of working in different organizations wearing different hats. My sole goal since the first day I resume work at Prothom Alo Digital as a Digital Sales Manager was to start a business of my own which will not only be a business but something that will also solve an imperative problem in the society. In 2022, I quitted my lucrative job as a Lead Specialist in Prothom Alo to start Zigzag Car after discovering the public transportation problem due to fuel price hike in Bangladesh and how there is no available solution. With the alarming daily increase of carbon-emission, I concluded the best solution should not only make transportation cheaper and faster but also contribute to the reduction of global warming. Zigzag car is a carpooling app that allows passengers to buy a seat in a driver’s personal vehicle for any distance trip inside or between cities. Drivers post the date and time of their road trip intercity or intracity, and riders sign up for a seat.As a green community advocate, my mission is to change the mindset of people in Bangladesh to embrace the importance of the use of Carpooling transportation concept and the numerous benefits it offers our environment.
