Accountable for decisions which affect abandonment results including operations, costs, safety, personnel, programming and R&D efforts to improve the abandonment process.• Abandoned wells in compliance with AER Directives D079, D020, D013, and ID 2003-01.• Spearheaded the testing of all available surface casing vent flow (SCVF) source detection technologies available in the global market for source identification in wellbores. Presented the results to industry partners and service suppliers to aid in the identification of technology gaps and promote the continuation of R&D efforts.• Challenged SCVF wellbore source access technologies and encouraged further improvements in abrasive jet and the development of the SLOT charge for expendable guns.• Tested all available SCVF isolation products, including resin, and implemented operational improvements to enhance product chemistry and placement success.• Participated as part of the risk assessment team to reduce ground disturbance sweeps for when hydro-cut operations are being utilized for cut and cap operations.• Mentored team members and provided abandonment support for the conventional oil and gas business unit.

Accountable for decisions which affect abandonment results including operations, costs, safety, personnel, programming and R&D efforts to improve the abandonment process.

• Execute completion strategies for the Montney Shale Gas and the West Pembina/Cardium oil play. Pad type horizontal frac completions from 15T up to 100T utilizing; NSC sleeves with the mongoose tool on coil tubing, both pump down and tractor conveyed perf/plug strategies & acid stimulation of a dual leg barefoot completion using Baker ‘legs’ tool on coil tubing.• Initiated and supported the water supply strategy for the Montney Shale Gas (multi-stage horizontal pad type completions) at Septimus located in northeast British Columbia including water sourcing, transportation, storage, treatment, recycling and disposal.• Responsible for the recruitment, scheduling, co-coordinating of all resources to enhance performance of all completion and associated personnel maximizing the efficiency and cost of the operation.• Abandonment and suspension of wells in compliance with AER directives utilizing both the zero ground disturbance method for cut and capping of wellheads as well as the conventional first call/dig cut & cap method.
