About Kerrysha Matos-Soto
As a Rollins College Graduate, I've strive to be an active, dedicated member of my community with a track record of demonstrated service and global citizenship. While at Rollins College, I took on numerous leadership roles within multiple organizations, focusing on relationship building and self-development. After graduating from Rollins, I relocated to China, where I served as a Foreign Public High School English Teacher. This experience taught me the importance of being self-motivated, open-minded, imaginative, ambitious, and resourceful. Though I valued my time teaching and would love to continue exploring that path, my true passion lies with animals. I hope to further my studies and career in this field, the first step of which was graduating with a B.S. in Biology. One of the requirements for completing my degree was the completion of an extensive thesis on a topic of choice; my topic was “The Effects of Increasing Sea Surface Temperature and Ocean Acidification on Cuttlefish Species.” In the immediate future, I hope to gain more hands-on opportunities related to animal conservation and technology.I look forward to hearing from you!
