Mr. McCurry has spent nearly 30 years in water, wastewater and wet waste engineering, process, design, product development and operations. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Mr. McCurry has held a wide variety of technical and commercial leadership roles from co-founder of the nuclear industry OEM Avantech, Inc., to Engineering Director with Orica, and most recently as Vice President of Innovations with Ixom Watercare.

Developing a new and exciting division within the global Watercare business - Innovations. Solving water user challenges by applying a Total Water Management approach focusing our efforts to limit production costs by incorporating the Pollution Prevention principles of source reduction and reuse centric treatment methods.

Responsible for all earnings producing activies for the Business. Manage a staff of Project Managers, Principal and Project Engineers, Field Engineers and Technicians, Customer Service Representatives, Contract Administrator, Designers, Scientists and contract Engineers.Coach and mentor Orica staff and contractors accountable for developing, implementing and maintaining ion exchange and other advanced water treatment systems. Implement projects and support technology licensees. Work closely with other technology teams within the Watercare business and with the Business Development, Sales and SH&E teams globally.Develop and modify the technology for applicability in both new markets and applications. Set resource and technology priorities. Develop and standardize packaged plants. Manage Intellectual Property within North America.

Implemented new business model. Spearhead technology and intellectual property transfer from Ireland and the UK to the United States for advanced wastewater treatment processes and systems. Develop and implement the companies' Engineering, Quality and Project Management systems. Direct all activities for design of wastewater treatment plants including MBR, MBBR and biofiltration. Implemented strategic partnership with a leading regional Architectural and Engineering firm leading to the Business’ first contract to supply MBR technology in the US.

Startup venture. Managed all sales closure and implementation activities for $30M cumulative design/build water and wet waste projects. Supervised all engineering, design, procurement, contract administration, vendor liaison, testing, delivery and customer support. Met and exceeded associated requirements with a small staff keeping overheads low and response times fast. Mentored associate project managers.
