As a Philanthropy Associate at Food & Water Watch, I support the organization's mission to mobilize regular people to build political power and protect our food, water, and climate. I have more than three years of experience in fundraising, client relations, and marketing in the nonprofit and legal sectors. I hold a B.A. in International Studies with a concentration in Social Justice and a minor in French from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am fluent in English and Amharic (proficient in French), and I use my language and cultural skills to communicate with diverse donors and stakeholders. I am proficient in fundraising campaign management, operations, and donor stewardship, and I contribute to the development and implementation of effective and innovative strategies to increase the impact and reach of the organization.
