I worked in the Altuglas division of Arkema Inc. where I worked as a materials engineering co-op. I was responsible for a wide variety of polymer testing techniques and helped with various projects. At the Sartomer Company, I worked for the Plant Processing Engineering Department in the West Chester chemical production plant. My main assignment was to review the plant's P&ID documents for accuracy and update the drawings as necessary. My responsibilities included:•Maintained batch data in plant information system for future use•Issued and analyzed trials where changes were made to the process or production of a product•Maintained plant’s P&IDs (piping and instrument diagrams) using Microstation and Adept (P&ID log system)•Implemented Open Ended Line Policy by labeling all open ended lines and connections in plant on P&IDs to prevent loss of primary containment

I worked as a research assistant in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Drexel University. My research project required me to electrospin 7% polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solutions to create nanofibers. The goal of my research project was to incorporate enzymes into the PVA solutions without killing them.
