I head up MOPAC’s policing policy team, developing and providing oversight of a range of policy areas including drugs and public protection. I also head up the team leading the response to the Casey review, including establishment and operation of the London Policing Board.

I led several aspects of the Windrush implementation programme including the Home Office’s ‘Early Warning Team’ and ethical decision making model. I headed up the secretariat for Wendy Williams’ Windrush Lessons Learned Review revisit. I provided temporary cover as Principal Private Secretary to the Permanent Secretaries.

Acting as senior adviser to Wendy Williams, delivering several review workstrands and supporting the development of the review methodology and reporting process.

I was responsible for managing the end to end all force annual inspection programme for police legitimacy. This included designing an evidence-based legitimacy inspection methodology and approach, managing key lines of enquiry, including fieldwork, and preparing force level and national reports on police legitimacy.

I was responsible for leading the 'crime and anti-social behaviour prevention' strand of HMIC's effectiveness programme; part of the inspectorate's annual all force inspections into police efficiency, effectiveness and legitimacy (PEEL). I developed inspection methodology, products and processes, undertook inspections, and wrote and quality assured force.
