He worked with high power electronics and embedded systems. Kian assisted with magnetic field analysis of the magnetic stimulator and thermal analysis of a cooling system. Kian exhibited very good debugging skills. An example was when he worked alongside our firmware engineer and then quickly became able to make firmware modifications and set breakpoints. An example of Kian’s technical knowledge was when he created a data acquisition system for a thermocouple using an Arduino that was in the lab. Kian took the initiative to debug on his own but also has no problem reaching out to others with more experience to get assistance. In addition to his technical skills, Kian was able to write engineering documentation such as engineering reports and hardware design descriptions (HDD). Since Magnus was a startup, Kian also participated and was exposed to lab management, receiving inspection, quality control, IT, regulatory strategies, and clinical studies.
