Perform general HR duties and responsibilities to assist the HR Manager with any other HR related admin queries / tasks. I process the monthly payroll information (start to end) for the African region, which include RSA, Botswana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. I process all new appointments, terminations and promotions on the payroll system - Sage VIP / ESS Premier. Ensure deadlines for the transfer of pay into employees’ bank account is met, maintaining related records as per audit requirements. Ensuring quick resolution of all payroll queries by employees, internal HR, finance and line management. Facilitate and process all garnishee and third-party payments like medical insurance. Run leave audit reports. Calculate and process/submission of all statutory payments/returns. Compile and submit accurate monthly and ad-hoc reports.

As an integral member of the HR team, my role as a Talent Advisor looked at managing and coordinating the standard Learning & Development programmes across all divisions across the African business. I worked with key stakeholders and business leaders to manage the training needs of the Africa employees. Learning and development formed part of this role and I would update/ communicate Learning & Development requests to commence by looking at the overall business strategy and plan. As HR Administrator I sat in disciplinary hearings and updated company policies, compiled personnel files for any CCMA cases at Arbitration stage and provided my support to the HR Business Partner and HR Associate Director in disciplinary investigations and grievance procedures.
