I've helped SyncNET to reinvent the way they organize internally to increase quality and speed up product launch and delivery. This includes structural changes in organizational processes and project management practices based on agile as well.

Managed the successful delivery of 16 core OS components for 5 BlackBerry 10 and QNX OS releases on time and budget by utilizing agile methodologies, including the rewrite of the image generation tool chain that allowed the company to introduce on‐demand, reproducible image building and signing resulting in yearly $150.000 storage cost reduction, at the same time decreasing the complexity of image generation and its execution time from 90 to 15 minutes that also increased developer performance.Played a key role in establishing the platform for the BlackBerry android development and assembled the CoreOS team to release the first hardened Linux kernel and many other core components that contributed to the release of BlackBerry Priv.Reorganized the distributed platform integration team and transformed the relationship to the rest of the organization by persuading developers and non technical managers to change the ownership of responsibilities for certain tasks to ensure that the team moved from 100% bug fighting to 80% feature planning and delivery and 20% conscious bug management. This allowed the team to re‐write the above mentioned image generation tool that the company had been waiting for over a year.Redesigned the user experience and re‐architected the over‐the‐air software upgrade component of BlackBerry devices to increase the reliability of the upgrades by eliminating the possibility of mismatching radio and OS software, 50% less incoming bugs, and improved the logging mechanism causing 100% decrease in number of issues where the root cause is unidentifiable.Redesigned the user experience and user interface of the security wipe component of BlackBerry devices by introducing accurate progress indication, text rendering with translation, and the execution time decreased to 10‐50% producing the complete elimination of carrier and customer complaints about the length and unfriendliness of the process.

Cirrus Computing raised the bar for virtual computing by creating the world's first virtual organization system that includes all desktops and servers hosted in the cloud. The solution ends the problem of local IT for small businesses and medium enterprises. No more backup, disaster recovery, lost or stolen data on laptops, no more difficulty with lengthy and expensive setup time when the organization is expanding.Developed the project strategy for the startup organization and led the distributed team, people working from their home office, to create a cloud based virtual organization product based on Ubuntu Linux to ensure that all necessary components and deliverables were met resulting in a clear execution plan that after 3 years of steady development led to a solid, market ready product that secured a total of $1.000.000 angel investment.Created a fully automated service orchestrating system utilizing scripting languages, BASH, Perl, Python, over 6000 lines, to create virtual organizations in the private or public cloud including the allocation and configuration of storage, network, virtual servers and the installation and configuration of over 500 software components resulting in the one‐click‐organization‐create functionality allowing the sales team to give a personalized, fully functioning demo system to prospective clients within less than half an hour.Utilized Amazon EC2 to build a proof‐of‐concept system for using container based virtualization on a virtualized hardware instance, placing OpenVZ on top of a Xen kernel – demonstrating to investors the ability to move a group of services between private and public cloud for faster scale‐out.Built the production environment in data‐centre, over 200 virtual servers on 6 hardware hosts, and a clone system in the test laboratory based on XEN, OpenVZ and vmWare services to ensure incident free 24x7 operation by separating development from production environment.

Created and led the Software Development Department, staff of 7, for Micotan with a client base of 600, in order to successfully finish and maintain the increasing number of projects.Maintained and supervised the development of the Whelby Hit List data collector and distributor software, which collects Western Canada’s oil patch activity and assures that Micotan’s 600 clients are always receiving the collected information in a chosen format filtered out by their requests.Designed and implemented the Whelby Decision Cube oil patch activity analyzer tool, based on the data collected by Micotan in the last 5 years, more than 250.000 records, facilitating a tripling of income from the initial sale.Supervised and actively participated in the creation of the Whelby Account Manager Web based extension for Whelby Hit List, which allows Micotan's client’s Sales Managers to monitor and adjust the work load of their Account Managers. The product instantly generated 50 new Hit List subscriptions ($10K / year) and also created opportunities for selling Micotan's products to major companies, such as Schlumberger.Designed and implemented a modular data mining framework for easy migration of text, XML and HTML documents into PostgreSQL database resulting in cutting in half the development time of a new parser module and ensuring quality of these new modules by providing functions for the common tasks, retrieving files from the web, parsing text, log messages, in the libraries of the framework.

Established and managed the company for 9 years, staff of 5, annual budget of $200.000Managed all software projects, schedule, risks and deliverables, including serving the automotive industry with top of the line communication and business application software products to help prevent automotive theft in the country resulting in meeting of tight deadlines introduced by complex government regulations.Designed and implemented in C++ the multi‐threaded, high performance data capture application to capture all VoIP data on the network and save it to disk utilizing triple buffer allocation strategy to make sure that the network buffers were always read regardless of the state of disk activities leading to 100% guarantee of avoiding data loss even on the highest network load.Designed and implemented in object oriented C++ the data transfer engine of a fully automated file transfer and remote control application for Windows utilizing TCP/IP, resulting in implementing the system to one of the biggest vehicle inspection company of Hungary, over 200 shops.Re‐factored the data transfer engine from object oriented C++ to C for PSION hand held that allowed the devices to act as end nodes and transfer files without human interaction resulting in deploying the software for over 300 electricity meter reader agent and reaching 24x7 incident free operation.Created embedded software in C and Assembly for PIC micro controller, while being challenged by the performance and memory size limitations for a key scan access system that read the cryptic keys stored on the access cards and transferred the decrypted data

Implemented the primary & secondary boot loader embedded software in C, for HC08 Texas Instruments ECU that is being used in Volvo vehicles; the primary boot loader is the only permanently stored software in the device and the only function is to load the secondary boot loader which will load and upgrade the main software in the device's EEPROM.Created a test software in C++ using CAN bus to mimic the behaviour of the high performance and high speed industrial software loader to find 3 known but unidentified bugs in the core of the boot loader system utilizing debuggers, high performance logic state analyzer to monitor activities on the CAN bus and capture the moment when the boot loader fails to perform correctly resulting in fixing all 3 bugs.
