I co-founded and help run Codeword (formerly Knock Twice), a leading communication design agency specializing in editorial content, media relations, and messaging strategy. Our clients range from early-round tech startups to massive global companies. In my spare time, I write speeches for tech execs and big visible keynote events. Current and past clients include Google (Creative Lab, Android, Ads Marketing, Chrome, Workspace, Gemini, People Ops, a bunch of other product teams), YouTube, Shopify, Qualcomm, IBM, Accenture, TechCrunch, Snap, Netflix, a handful of big ad agencies, and lots and lots of great startups.

I oversaw the editorial operations and content strategy for several big technology and business clients, including a Cannes-awarded campaign for Microsoft. Led the development of "brand journalism" as a practice, focusing on transparency and editorial best practices. This was in the early days of social media, native advertising, influencer marketing, and corporate blogging, and we were kids in a candy store.

I ran the PCMag.com home page, oversaw product news coverage and several newsletters, and helped out with website maintenance and editing. I also wrote features, reviews, and news stories for the site and magazine, and launched an affiliated blog covering the startup world.

Oversaw PC Mag's coverage of consumer technologies, including cameras and audio devices, and security software. Weird combo but I made it work.

Assisted with editing and copyfitting for the magazine's First Looks review section. Produced all text and photos for PCMag.com's online reviews, and wrote the daily First Looks Update newsletter.

Wrote and edited for front-of-book (Periscope) and back-of-book (Tip Sheet), and covered business news.

Covered the 2003 Utah State Legislature for the Provo Daily Herald, a 30K daily newspaper.
